Because of its light weight, it can reduce unnecessary strength and power of parts when used as textile machinery materials, and can reduce inertia of movement. It is also convenient and lightweight for loading and unloading and maintenance.
The mold of the cast nylon is much smaller than that of the metal, and the vibration attenuation rate is dozens of times greater than that of the steel, and it has the absorption function. Therefore, when using cast nylon to make gears and wheels, low noise is a more economical and practical way to prevent mechanical noise. For example, cast nylon gears can reduce noise by 10-15 dB compared to copper gears.
3.Good mechanical properties
Cast nylon products have high mechanical strength, good toughness, impact resistance and fatigue resistance. Cast nylon is crystallized below its melting point (220 °) and has a large molecular weight, so its mechanical strength is much larger than ordinary nylon 6 and nylon 66 products, especially it has good creep resistance, so it can bear the weight of the bearing for a long time. load.
Molded nylon products can prevent the permanent deformation of the curved surface, which can maintain the strength to resist the fracture caused by repeated impact loads. This is necessary for parts that are subject to high impact loads.
5.Abrasion resistance and self-lubrication
Molded nylon products can be used without additional lubricants when used under general light loads and low speeds. The abrasion characteristic of nylon is that it is slightly worn at the beginning of use, and rarely wears out after a period of running-in. Unlike metal materials, the wear also increases proportionally with the use of time.
In addition, the friction coefficient of cast nylon is also very small. The pressure per unit area is in the range of 0.98-6.87Mpa, and the friction coefficient is 0.3-0.4. And because the hardness of the cast nylon is much smaller than that of the metal, it is not easy to damage the abrasive parts, which is very useful for making rollers, bearings, sleeves, wheels, wheel liners, etc.
